1. The Vibrant Delhi
The city is divided into two, New Delhi – the capital and Old Delhi. We recommend you to stay in Paharganj, an ideal place to stay because it is safe and central. Start your Delhi Tour from the Qutb complex – the first Islamic city, where you can see the Qutab Minar, the tallest brick and marble tower in the world.
Another point you should go to is the Red Fort, Mughal Gardens and squares, Jama Masjid, Lotus Temple etc. Apart from Mughal architecture you can explore the shopping markets. Taste the street foods and get religious into the beautiful temples of Delhi.
2. The Iconic and Romantic Agra
It is 200 kilometers from Delhi in the state of Uttar Pradesh, and houses the Taj Mahal – the white marble mausoleum which was ordered to build by Emperor Shah Jahan for his wife, Princess Arjumand Banu Begum. This monument is on the banks of the Yamuna River and also listed as one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Apart from Taj Mahal, you can see the beautiful Red Fort, Mughal Garden, Jama Mosque etc. Also you can visit the nearby Fatehpur Sikri – The abandoned city.
3. The Pink City of Jaipur
Jaipur is the capital of the state of Rajasthan famous as the Pink City in India. Jaipur is one of the major cities to explore in Rajasthan. There are several forts and monuments to explore. You can start from the Palace of Winds which is part of the Jaipur Palace. Another popular fort is Amber Fort, about 10 km from the city center on top of a hill overlooking Maota Lake. This city is popular for its blue pottery and and other bazaars such as Johari and Bapu Bazaar, where you can buy typical Indian products.
4. An Escape to the Spiritual Varanasi
In the state of Uttar Pradesh, nine hours by train from Agra, is the city of Varanasi. It is one of the sacred cities for Hinduism. Here you can witness Indian traditions in the narrow streets and walk along the ghats – the stone steps that lead to the Ganges River to board a boat and sail at sunset. Witness the grand Aarti Ceremony at the time of Sunrise and Sunset.
5. Mumbai
Mumbai is the dream city of India and also known as Bollywood city. This city is one of the major destinations in India that should not be missed by anyone. This city has so much to explore whether it is beaches, street foods, attractions, temples, caves, markets, nightlife etc. The iconic attractions of Mumbai are Gateway of India, Elephanta Caves, Juhu Beaches, Bollywood city tour, Dabbawalas, Siddhivinayak Temple – dedicated to Lord Ganesha, Dharavi Slum Area etc. This city is popular for its street food that you must try at once.
